Monday Enrichment Program – Term 4

This term’s program is thriving, with students engaging in activities such as a prosthetic leg workshop by Engineers Without Borders, Scrabble competitions, and Maths masterclasses. Running through Week 9, these sessions are made possible thanks to the generous support of our university and local business partners.

Engeniator Program Launch

We’re excited to kick off the third year of our Engeniator Program, designed to support students exploring careers in Engineering.

Launched on 28 July at QUT, the program offers hands-on experiences and industry excursions to help students make informed decisions about their future. We extend our thanks to QUT, Stantec, our alumni, and current students for their valuable contributions.

Excitingly, QUT will offer bursaries to BSHS Engeniator students who choose to study Engineering there in 2026.

Medicus Program

Term 3 has offered rich learning experiences for our Medicus students. Year 10s attended sessions with UQ lecturers on infectious disease modelling, nutrition, and medical careers through an Allied Health Panel. Year 11’s participated in a cancer seminar at TRI Woolloongabba and a full-day excursion to the Francis Baron Burnett Centre, gaining hands-on experience in wound care, scrub preparation, and AED use.

School Based University Studies

Semester 2 is underway for our START QUT, UQ Enhanced Studies, and UniSQ Uni Prep students. These high-achieving students are gaining early exposure to university life, exploring future study options, and building valuable career insights. We’re proud to see them embracing the challenge and thriving beyond the classroom.
