GPS Rugby

The GPS Rugby has season is now over half way completed and we have a number of teams still in contention for a premiership. Our 2nd XV, 13A, 13B and 14A continue to notch impressive results every week.

Last weekend the program won all games except for 1 against BGS which is a massive achievement. We are excited to see how the rest of the season unfolds.

GPS Basketball

The BSHS Basketball program continues to excel with the 1st Basketball team experiencing their first win the past weekend knocking off the undefeated BGS in a tight game at State High. A big shoutout to our 7A and 8A teams who are still undefeated and hoping to win the premiership in each of those competitions.

Congratulations to the following BSHS Basketball students.
Ollie Johnson played in the Metropolitan East Regional 13 to 16 Years team that won the State Championships. He was selected from that Championship to play for Queensland Schools at the National Championships which were recently held at Brendale. Both Ollie and his team played extremely well to collect a Bronze medal.
Elijah Tuupo is competing in the FIBA Asian Cup for the under 16 New Zealand Mens team to contest the World Championships in Mongolia in the next few weeks and we wish Elijah all the best for his Championship.
