Brisbane State High School 2025 Interhouse Athletics Carnival will be held on Wednesday 30 July 2025 at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), Kessels Road Nathan.  This is a normal school day and all students are expected to attend. 

Students may make their own transport arrangements to and from QSAC or travel by bus as organised by the school.  A survey is now open to sign up for the bus - https://forms.office.com/r/5gkFXbjnr7. 

Students making their own way to QSAC must arrive by 9:00am or earlier if competing in the first events.  All students making their own way must sign in with teachers at the entrance gate upon arrival.  The day concludes at 2:30pm.  Due to the event being at an external location, no students will be permitted to leave the venue prior to this time.

Departing from 7:45am

Return departure from 2:30pm

Charter buses will commence departing from Edmondstone St on 15-minute intervals from 7:45am (competitors in first events) until 8:45am.  Students are to assemble inside F Block.  Buses will return to school by 2:50pm.

Bus transport is $5.00, payment will only be accepted by Qkr!.  Use the Qkr! App (or visit https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/store/#/home) and navigate to the School Payments, Excursions/Incursions menu.

Some field events including Shot Put, Javelin and Triple Jump will be held on the school oval on Tuesday 22 July 2025.  The 3000m event will be held on Friday 25 July 2025, also on the school oval. Discus, High Jump, Long Jump and track events will be held at QSAC. 

There will be 3 separate consent forms released on QParents for the carnival:

1. General consent to attend the BSHS Interhouse Athletics Carnival as a spectator or competitor in medium risk events (all students)
2. Consent for ‘high/extreme’ risk events (javelin, discus, high jump) (nominated students only)
3. Bus transport (one way and/or return) (nominated students only)
