The Instrumental Music Department at BSHS is excited to welcome Queensland’s Camerata Chamber Orchestra for a combined concert in PAC on the 28May starting at 7pm.

This professional ensemble, led by Dr Brendan Joyce, have been tutoring and rehearsing our Kurilpa orchestra since the start of Term 1.  It has been a privilege for our students to work alongside fabulous musicians and an excellent learning opportunity for all involved.

Special thanks to the Patrons of Camerata who have made this project possible with their generous financial support and interest in fostering state school string students.

The focus for the concert will be a performance of the wonderful ‘Fantasy on a Thomas Tallis Theme’ for Double String Orchestra by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Our musicians will be playing alongside Camerata musicians during the concert.

Seating is limited, so please book early for what promises to be an inspirational evening of fine music making.
