GPS & Boys Activities
A huge thank you to all our alumni, parents, staff, and volunteers who support our programs. Without your dedication and assistance, we would not be able to provide these opportunities for our students. Your efforts behind the scenes—whether in coaching, managing teams, officiating, or supporting at events—are truly appreciated.
– Mr Keiron Goltz | Director of GPS and Boys Activities
GPS Volleyball
It has been fantastic to see the commitment and support from our boys, parents, and volunteers this season. With a few challenging matches ahead, extra support for our First VI and all other teams would be greatly appreciated as we push through the final stretch.
As the 2025 First VI Volleyball Captains, we have had the privilege of witnessing our Year 7 players tackle their first-ever games, seeing the growth of our middle school athletes, and being part of the hard work and determination of the First VI. Although it has been a tough season with some close losses, this reflects the high level of competition in GPS and keeps us accountable for areas we need to improve.
With only one home game left, the support of the blue-red-blue is crucial in helping us finish strong. We hope to see everyone there!

GPS Swimming
The GPS Swimming Team has been fine-tuning their best times over the past few weeks in preparation for the 102nd GPS Swimming Championship. The squad has been pushing each other in training, competing for limited spots on the team, and striving to represent BSHS at their best. Some of our swimmers are even in contention to break GPS records that have stood for decades!
With several individual and relay teams poised to compete for event and age group wins, it is vital that we fill our allocated seats at Chandler Aquatic Centre to cheer on State High. The atmosphere at GPS Swimming Championships is unmatched, as all schools bring their students to support their teams. Let’s show up in full force!

It was another strong weekend for our First XI, securing a victory against Brisbane Grammar School in a well-fought match.
A standout performance came from Micky Ramaswamy (Year 7) in the 7A team, scoring an incredible 103 runs not out—his second century of the season! Well done to all teams for their efforts over the weekend.
